Big 12 Showdown of the Year.....Again

#2 Texas Tech vs #5 Oklahoma
Another week of college football, another Big 12 matchup of the season. The Red Raiders of TTU are undefeated and with a win over the Sooners this week clinch a berth in the Big 12 title game. Oklahoma is no slouch however with their only loss on the season coming against Texas earlier this season. The Sooners are lead by darkhorse Heisman candidate Sam Bradford who can put himself in the forefront of the discussions with! an upset over Texas Tech. Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree are going to have to outscore Bob Stoop's Sooners or else their championship hopes will disappear. I picked Oklahoma in the preseason to win it all and I think this is the game where they get back into the discussion. The Sooners are the pick.

#7 Utah vs #14 BYU
Utah is undefeated and many are saying this is the week they fall. I thought Utah would lose to TCU and they almo! st did, but in the end Utah prevailed. This team has stayed u! nder the radar all season slowing creeping up the rankings. Now Utah is in the spotlight which will make it a lot more difficult for this team to succeed. BYU is a solid team, but I do not think they have what it takes to go into Utah and knock off the undefeated Utes. Utah is the pick.

#8 Penn State vs #15 Michigan State
The Nittany Lions saw their perfect season ended by the Iowa Hawkeyes, but Joe Paterno is n ot giving up. He is focused on the ! Spartans this week because he understands how big this game is. Paterno's future is uncertain at his age, but he says he has not even thought of any of that yet. He is focused on Michigan State and nothing more. PSU has a solid squad, but they are certainly not a championship caliber team coming out of the Big 10. Michigan State wants to make their case for a BCS bid and I think they do. Michigan State is the upset pick.
