Draw in favour of Santos and Ajax

The draw for the last 16 in the Nedbank Cup has gone in favour of Ajax Cape Town and Santos.

The People's team has an all PSL clash with struggling Maritzburg United, while The Urban Warriors face first division side Nathi Lions.

Santos team manager Edries Burton says they are fortunate to have a home draw.

"In a Cup competition its also ways difficult, especially coming up against Maritzburg but the one plus is that we are playing at home and hopefully we can get something out of the game. "

Ajax beat Thistle Grove last Saturday to book their place in the next phase of the tournament.

Coach Craig Roslee says they are grateful they don't have to face PSL rivals but they are wary of their opponents.

"We feel this is a very good draw for us seeing that we didn't get a match up with one of our league counterparts but it's still going to be a difficult game because we have to go away from ho! me. This is cup football and these are the games that teams enjoy because they have nothing to lose but we need to go out there and make sure we get the job done."
